BRG’s programs are designed to develop young athletes with skills that prepare them for college and professional baseball opportunities. The Youth Baseball Instructional Program (YBIP), which supports players ages 8-13, combines elements of player development, recreational baseball, and travel ball, enabling youth to gain a well-rounded foundation in the sport. Athletes receive training in areas such as speed and agility, arm care, base running, and situational awareness, helping them build the physical and mental skills needed for high school baseball and beyond.
BRG clinics and workshops also feature unique insights from esteemed coaches, including Gary Patchett, Robert Gould, and Steve Kiefer. These coaches, many of whom are former MLB or MiLB players and scouts, bring a wealth of experience to each session, imparting critical defense strategies, team play skills, and knowledge about baseball IQ. This professional guidance ensures athletes receive comprehensive training, positioning them to compete at higher levels.
Mishael Israel, BRG’s Executive Director, encourages young athletes to “dream and believe, but more importantly, put in the work,” a philosophy that underpins every BRG program. By fostering discipline and skill refinement, BRG’s training prepares young players not just for the next level of competition but for success in all aspects of life.
Dream and believe, but more importantly, put in the work!
Beyond physical training, BRG instills values like teamwork, resilience, and focus, guiding players toward personal and athletic growth. Coaches such as Rich Murray and Garry Templeton II emphasize mental conditioning, preparing athletes to make quick, strategic decisions on the field. BRG’s comprehensive approach builds confidence, arming players with the resilience needed for collegiate and pro-level competition.
